what is
Direct Primary Care?
DPC is an alternative to the traditional practice model. It is a membership based model that focuses on simplifying patient care by eliminating insurance companies & hospital administrators from the equation. Without interference from the middleman, I am able to care for my patients the way they deserve: with more time, improved accessibility, and price transparency, delivered on my terms. Patients can have all of this and more for an affordable monthly fee. No more fee for service, no copays and deductibles, no insurance, no hassle.
Put simply, this is old school medicine meets the 21st century.
Benefits of DPC
Accessibility
You can reach me via phone, text or email, including evenings and weekends for urgent matters. Visits can be either in-person or via phone.
Longer Appointments
The average face to face time with your PCP in a traditional internal medicine practice is 18 minutes. That’s simply not enough time to discuss all of your health needs, provide education and answer your questions most of the time. Switching to DPC allows me the freedom to make my own schedule. My appointments are 30-60 minutes depending on what you need. And I won’t be glued to my computer screen checking boxes during your visit.
Availability
You can schedule same day or next day appointments because sometimes you get sick and need to be seen ASAP. With DPC, most of your acute needs can be handled by me, eliminating the need for costly urgent care visits.
Cost Transparency
You pay one monthly fee which includes everything listed under Services. There are no copays, hidden fees or confusing medical bills to interpret three months after your visit. You will always know how much you owe upfront.
Discounted Labs
You won’t believe how much money I can save you on labs (and meds) as a member of Simplicity DPC. Check out examples of Simplicity prices for common labs under Services & Pricing. In many cases, using your insurance is actually more expensive!
Discounted Medications
Patients of Simplicity DPC enjoy a complimentary membership with Blueberry Pharmacy. Check out more information on this, including a medication price checker, under Services and Pricing. Many patients find that the money saved on medications and labs covers the cost of their membership fee.
Personalized Care
You will see me, your doctor, for every visit. I will know your history like my own, so you don’t have to repeat it again and again. I will work with you as an individual to improve your health and well-being. We’re not all the same and shouldn’t be treated as such. You will not be just another number…I promise.

How I Do It
Less Patients = More Time
In traditional medical practices, one physician often has 2,500+ patients to care for, while direct primary care practices are generally capped at 600 patients (I will only be taking 400 patients). DPC practices do not contract with insurance companies, which means less paperwork, less hoops to jump through, and less interference from outsiders. This equates to more time available for each patient when needed – whether that means a 60 minute office visit once a month to better control your diabetes or same day availability when that sinus infection strikes.
What I Treat
I am a board certified internal medicine physician, which means I treat anyone 18 years and older for issues ranging from acute illnesses to chronic, complex medical issues, utilizing evidence based medicine. This may include hypertension, diabetes, obesity, depression, COPD, asthma, migraines, high cholesterol, gout, etc. I will also help to coordinate your care among specialists.
